SelfD #15: What do I Love about Myself?

Let's write this post in English (:

What I love about myself:

🌼 I love how I don't have insecurity about how I look like. Especially since I know nowadays media and society put so much pressure on it. 

I'm grateful for my family, and friends and books that I read. They help me a lot in my foundation. They make me feel I am beauty as I am.

It's important to always remind ourself, what's more important is the inside. And what we look like in front of other people doesn't matter. What we must worry more is what we look in front of Allah.

🌼 I love how consistent I write. I love when I read my old writing, the diary I wrote back in school, the article I wrote for a newsletter which never published. I love re-learning what I write, re-founding who I am from what I write. I love how the memories kept beautifully and sometimes hidden in many passages.

🌼 I love how I am introvert but also extrovert. How the two of them are just like jacket and blanket for me. I can keep quiet and listens, but I also like to react out to converse.

🌼 What's more?

Of course there are more. I am just lost in words, lol.

Okay, I'll write some of it more without any explanation.

I love how I value friendship
I love how I almost give up, but I don't
I love how I smile
I love the sparking good side of myself

and I will love my flaws too.. in syaa Allah.
Cause my flaws would humbled me in front of Allah.
Cause my dark bad side of myself, will motivate me to do more good deeds and ask for His Protection from The Fire.

I hope I love myself enough, just enough. Neither less nor too much.

Last but not least, let me put this du'a about love.


اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ وَالْعَمَلَ الَّذِيْ يُبَلِّغُنِي حُبَّكَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ حُبَّكَ أََحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ نَفْسِيْ وَأَهْلِيْ وَمِنَ الْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِرواه الترمذي

Allahummainni as`aluka hubbaka wa hubba man yuhibbuka wal amalal ladzi yuballighuni hubbaka. Allahumaj ‘al hubbaka ahabba ilayya min nafsi wa ahli wa minal ma’il barid

Artinya : Ya Allah, sesungguhnya aku memohon kepada-Mu cinta-Mu dan cinta orang-orang yang mencintai-Mu dan aku memohon kepada-Mu perbuatan yang dapat mengantarku kepada cinta-Mu. Ya Allah, jadikanlah cinta-Mu lebih kucintai daripada diriku, keluargaku, dan air yang dingin (di padang yang tandus) [1]
